Issue: Key not recognized. Batteries in both new. Placing one in the correct position in the rearmost cupholder provides the same response. Key fobs will manually lock/unlock doors and trunk. Interior lights show power when the doors open, so the culprit is not likely the remote control door lock receiver (a problem I had with my wife’s XT4). Would have my Blackwing towed to my Caddy dealer. But without an ability to release the parking break and steering wheel lock, the vehicle is stuck in my garage. Contacted my dealer and their tech but no help. Contacted Cadillac and after consultation with their techs, all they offered was an appointment with a tow truck on Monday. I suspect the driver will arrive, kick the tires and tell me he can help… because the parking break and steering wheel are locked. Does anyone have a solution that would allow me to unlock the steering wheel and release the parking brake??
