Hello fellow Cadillac owners. I recently came to own a 2016 Escalade ESV and have been fixing the few minor issues that it had with success, save for one issue, the front camera in the grill. Correct me if I am wrong but I believe it is used for the adaptive cruise control and the 360 parking. When I put it in reverse the left, right and rear cameras show up on my cue screen but the front is black. Also when I try to use cruise control the message on the dash reads “Adaptive Cruise Temporarily Unavailable”. I have attempted to search this forum and various other web resources but to no avail sadly. Would I be correct that it utilizes the grill camera for the 360 parking and for the cruise control? The only thing I have tried to fix this issue is installing a brand new OEM grill camera but when I put it in reverse still no image appears for the front and the cruise control still doesn’t work. The windshield is OEM GM as well. Any input, ideas or suggestions would be very appreciated. Upon further research I have found there is a camera in the cabin, in the rear view mirror assembly(p/n 23467859). Would that be the one for the cruise control and the 360 parking camera view? Also are these units, both in the grill and in the mirror area, just plug and play provided the part numbers are identical or do they require programming?
