cv axle

I suffered a broken cv axle on my 2018. It has 140k miles on it. The dealership where it was towed diagnosed the damage and told me it would take more than a week to get the part from cadillac in michigan. I asked about overnight was was told that GM would not do that even if I paid extra for the part. WTF? They have no loaners due to chip shortage and the lack of cars. I bet the owner’s wife has a new car to drive. Or maybe the owners husband. Have any of you out there been experiencing this kind of treatment?
