I bought a CT4-V AWD about a month ago, any questions?

Fantastic vehicle! Tremendous fun to drive, the 10 speed is fantastic and the engine pulls like a beast! Well done car, much more luxurious than my 2013 ATS AWD I replaced it with.

Do you miss the magnetic ride that is now only available in the RWD?

Though I’d really like to have the mrc shocks, GM did a really nice job with the regular shocks. The ride in my CT4-V is a lot more sophisticated than in my ATS with the luxury package. The CT4 handles bumps and road irregularities a lot better. I was expecting my V to ride even more stiffly than my ATS and am please to say it is greatly improved without sacrificing handling.

My CT4-V rides like a sporty luxury car should. My ATS wasn’t refined enough for the luxury segment – handled great and communicated what the chassis was doing, great characteristics for sport cars but it was at the expense of the luxury feel.

Thanks for the good reply. I was thinking about the AWD version but wanted the mrc shocks. Most of the dealers seem to have to only offer the AWD in stock, so I will consider one based on your input.

Bought a 2021 CT4 luxury premium RWD with the optional 4.7L engine, pretty similar to the V in many respects. Love it and the power on demand is stunning. I prefer the design of the CT4 to the CT5, which has those strange pillars just behind the rear windows. Makes it look like a Chevy Cruze. I DO NOT like the stop-start “technology”, which I always turn off.

    Enjoy your car!

replying to mjkelch: Is the magnetic ride control only offered on the V-series? He mentioned he has the 4.7 (means 2.7) engine upgrade on a RWD premium luxury model.

The MRC shocks are not an option, the only way to get them on a CT4 is to order the rwd CT4-V, where they are standard. You can not get them on the premium luxury.

I was wrong – for 2021 Cadillac does offer MRC as an option on the sport model. Doesn’t look like it is an option on the Luxury models
