    Hi,

It seems, the battery preconditioning for a fast charging takes over an hours as per the display screen.
Also, the car needs to be running all the time ….

Is this suppose to happen ? 1 Hr ?

That is a good question GM should start their own videos explaining everything about this Lyriq instead of people in the field. Sort of instructional videos.

I concur with your GM video library concept. Hope GM is reading and listening!

I ordered the 19.2 KW on board charger believing it would reduce charge times for both level 2 and 3 charging.

I also opted for the 80 amp level 2 home charger. The only time I plan to use level 3 charging will be for multiple charge “road trips” in excess of 300 miles…

    Charging times:
    DC190kW77/10min
    L2/19.2kW- 51m/hr
    L2/11.5kW – 31m/hr
    L2/2.7kW – 21m/hr

    Other factors to consider:
    1) winter driving when you get only 60% of maximum range. My Chevy Bolt lost 100 of 250 range. I’m assuming it will be the same for my Lyriq.
    2) recommendation to charge (from a “safe” 20% level to “a speed efficient” 80% level). I’ve heard the last 20% (80-100%) can take as much time as 20-80%…

    3) many existing public DC chargers are way below the 190 kw that will get you that 77 miles per 10 minutes of charge!

This is a nice question. Instead of relying on field personnel, GM could create their own films teaching everything about the Lyriq. Instructional videos.
