I took my 2021 CT5 vehicle back to the dealer for the rattling sound when accelerating. The technicians removed the Exhaust Cross Support Brace. The problem was resolved. I have had no further issues.
We had a similar sound but it only occurred when you were hitting the brakes and decelerating. They had the car for one month, gave us a nice loaner. They had to bring in the factory technicians at great cost to GM. Turns out there wads a baffle that was not properly installed at the factory and other pieces were hiding it from the dealer. They had to take the wheels off in the front and touch everything until they found the bugger. It had been installed backwards and so was not attached to where it was supposed to be. Jesus.
Mullenrm … hi
I also have a rattle, especially when cold, and still when hot, not just as noticeable. Had the dealer yesterday say it is the bracket that holds the twin exhaust pipes together just after the manifold. Design is that the entire pipe must be replaced since the bracket is part of the pipe and cannot be replaced. Does this sound like what you had? The dealer quoted me $2,900 for a new exhaust pipe!!!
