Despite prior evidence to the contrary, Cadillac Society has learned that the base 2025 Cadillac XT5 Luxury will not offer the Onyx Package.
Note that the Onyx Package (production code PDB), which is an LPO-level (dealer-installed) bundle, is now exclusively available on the Premium Luxury trim. It is not available on the Luxury or Sport trim. Additionally, the package cannot be paired with the Blue Accent Package (production code PDL), Red Accent Package (production code PDK), or Bronze Accent Package (production code PDJ).
Priced at $4,995, the Onyx Package includes the following content:
- 20-inch Gloss Black wheels (LPO S2K)
- Gloss Black rear bumper molding (LPO 5HR)
- Gloss Black rear fascia applique (LPO VNI)
- Gloss Black front fascia applique (LPO QJ5)
- Gloss Black grille (LPO SJ9)
- Gloss black grill trim (LPO E5K)
- Gloss Black exhaust bezel (LPO VMP)
- Gloss Black XT5 nameplate (LPO RIK)
- Monochrome Cadillac emblems (LPO SFZ)
For the North American market, the 2025 Cadillac XT5 will soldier on with minimal changes and updates compared to its 2024 model year predecessor. That means that not only will it retain the same exterior and interior designs, but that it will also be offered with the same powertrain lineup. The Luxury and Premium Luxury trim levels will continue to cradle the turbocharged 2.0L I4 engine (production code LSY) as standard, which is rated at 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. These models will be identifiable by the 350T badge on the liftgate.
Meanwhile, the naturally-aspirated 3.6L V6 engine (production code LGX), rated at 310 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque, will once again be optional on the Premium Luxury trim and standard on the Sport trim. These models can be identified by the 400 badge on the liftgate.
As previously reported by Cadillac Society, pricing for the 2025 XT5 will start at $45,690.

Wow the Oynx Package for $4,995 doesn’t get you much, even if it was available!

So China of all places gets the newly designed xt5 and we get the same old xt5.Why would we buy this long in the tooth model? I have a 2017 and love it but makes no sense to buy a new xt5 when basically it’s the same vehicle and you can’t even get the 3.6 in the luxury version.Someone at Cadillac has got to wake up and smell the roses! At least it’s not electric 🥵
