While the 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V promises more than enough get-up-and-go for a luxury SUV, there’s an aftermarket option available for Escalade enthusiasts in search of something a little more aggressive. Specialty Vehicle Engineering (SVE) recently unveiled its own high-performance 2023 Cadillac Escalade package, boasting an overkill 800 horsepower.
Known as the 2023 SXR Series Cadillac Escalade, this custom-built, high-performance luxury SUV, harnesses the 6.2L V8 engine (production code L87) topped with one hell of an SVE supercharger. The engine is also outfitted with a forged 1538MV twisted steel crankshaft with induction hardened journals and intermediate pin drills, plus forged steel rods, forged aluminum pistons, upgraded heads and an upgraded fuel system with new injectors. Sound and exhaust gases are piped through a stainless steel cat-back exhaust setup with dual-tip output.
SVE’s specialty engine upgrades grant the Escalade a whopping 800 horsepower and 720 pound-feet of torque. Comparatively, the high-performance Cadillac Escalade-V produces 683 horsepower and 653 pound-feet of torque, meaning the SXR Series Escalade is more powerful than the almighty Escalade-V at stock.
The package rolls on a set of six-spoke 22-inch wheels, while six-piston brakes and vented rotors help keep speed under control. The suspension features a heavy duty 12.5-inch rear sway bar, along with a full sport suspension upgrade and adjustable lowering kit. Custom floormats, door sills, headrests and special badging provide unique styling cues inside the cabin. The SXR Escalade also gains a set of exterior accents to set it apart from its stock counterparts.
The 2023 Cadillac Escalade SXR Series package is available on any 2023 Escalade or Escalade ESV, including Luxury, Premium Luxury, Premium Luxury Platinum, Sport and Sport Platinum trim levels. However, the 6.2L V8 engine is a requirement, as this package is not applicable on models featuring the 3.0L I6 turbodiesel engine (production code LM2). Rear-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive models are both able to be outfitted with the upgrades.
Pricing for the package starts at $69,995 on top of the original price of the 2023 Cadillac Escalade. SVE states that a six- to eight-week build time is standard, and that its tuning kit is not legal for California emissions.

Country and the world is going all out for EV’s and Cadillac produces an 800 HP SUV. Just in time for Black Friday shopping. The insanity continues.

Cadillac is not producing this vehicle, it is produced by specialty vehicle engineering.

I am a firm supporter of internal combustion engines and as an engineer applaud projects to enhance performance at all levels.
I wonder, however, at what point are we overdoing it.

There seems to be a campaign to show that electric vehicles are, by nature, better performers than ICE cars — screaming acceleration figures, ludicrous torque and horsepower specs. Kudos to the intrepid folks who build high performance ICE cars that meet the challenge.
