Same with my 2014 XTS cue system locked up a couple of years ago I will never buy another Cadillac. Took it to dealer wanted $1,600.00 for a complete cue system replacement. When only the digitizer is bad. Which is less than 100.00 actually you can buy one on Amazon for $69.00.

Go to Amazon search digitizer for 2014 Cadillac. You will find them from 37.99 up to 179.99

Thanks Rick. I’ll check it out. It seems that turning the radio off for 30-60 seconds allows it to reboot – but it doesn’t seem to last. Also there is a “fix” or two on YouTube which seems to give a temporary reboot. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=cadillac+cue+reset

I have a local dealer that said GM will replace the screen for free because it is a known flaw. He will charge for install – about $230.

Hi rkaiser423, are you saying you know of a local dealer or are you saying all local dealers will do the repair? May I ask which dealer are you referring to? Thanks

he only new car I have purchased was a 2014 Cadillac XTS. I have owned 5 Cadillacs, and the XTS will be the last for me. The warranty expired in August of 2019. Not a problem with low miles < 30,000. I retired in November with the hopes this will be a lasting car.
In February my rear suspension went out. $3500.New tires $1600. In April, I put the 3rd new battery in. $150. Two weeks ago, it cost me $400+ to find out that it’s going to cost me $1200 (at Cadillac dealer) to replace the cue system, as it has shorted out. It wasn’t the CUE screen. It was replaced while under warranty. I had just over 31,000 miles, so I got a great trade in price toward a 2018 GMC Terrain.
