2020 Cadillac XT5 Livery Package Introduced For Livery Customers

2020 Cadillac XT5 Livery Package Introduced For Livery Customers

The 2020 Cadillac XT5 introduced a refresh (otherwise known as a mid-cycle enhancement) that brought several noteworthy updates to the popular luxury crossover, including a mild update to the exterior and interior, a revised trim level hierarchy, and several new technologies. In addition, the update also brought with it a new XT5 Livery Package that has gone nearly unnoticed.

The new XT5 Livery Package might not be all that exciting for those buying the XT5 for personal use, but it is an important addition for those who make a living professionally driving or operating a vehicle (or a fleet of vehicles). Indeed, the package – assigned production code ZR3 – is aimed at fleet / livery customers, and includes a 36-month / 150,000-mile Professional Vehicle Warranty, whichever comes first. This high-mileage warranty replaces the 6 year / 70,000 mile Powertrain Limited Warranty normally included with the XT5 units sold at retail.

The package also includes the naturally-aspirated 3.6L V6 LGX engine, Stellar Black Metallic exterior color and Jet Black interior color. An 18-inch compact spare tire replaces the tire inflator kit typically included with retail-market XT5 models.

The Cadillac XT5 livery package is available exclusively on the Premium Luxury trim level in either front-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive models. To be eligible for the aforementioned warranty, the vehicle must be delivered to a qualified funeral director, hotel/resort or for-hire Livery operator.

The package’s introduction on the Cadillac XT5 is particularly noteworthy given that Caddy recently discontinued the XTS and CT6 – two models that offered the Livery Package. The XTS – a particularly popular choice for livery customers – was discontinued after the 2019 model year.

Besides the 2020 Cadillac XT5, two other Cadillac models – the XT6 three-row crossover and the Escalade – offer the Livery Package. By introducing the Livery Package on the 2020 XT5, it would seem that Cadillac is looking to migrate XTS livery customers to its crossover offerings.

  2. Well, the LGX is reliable, has good power and runs on regular. Not everyone wants to climb up into an SUV. Plus, they have no “presence”. RIP XTS. I love my 2013 Plat.

  3. Close in the back windows…Sedan Delivery style…so the businesses can have their company logo painted on it. Thats how the old sedan deliveries did it and they helped build millions of companies that way. You do the livery thing, get noticed, and build a business at the same.

  4. Now that the XT5 is the oldest product in Cadillacs line up, and the CT6 and XTS are gone, I think it makes sense to offer it to the Livery Trade.

    • I take that back. Escalade is the oldest, but not for long. I think there is a Livery version of Escalade available too.
