Photos Of 2021 Cadillac Escalade Leak Ahead Of Debut

Photos showing the exterior of the 2021 Cadillac Escalade have leaked online well ahead of the SUV’s anticipated debut early next year.

The leaked photos show off the next-generation luxury SUV’s new front fascia, along with its  side profile. The front end is particularly interesting, featuring a large front grille and narrow LED headlights that remind us of those on the Cadillac XT6 crossover. Two large, vertically-mounted LED light strips can also be seen underneath each of the headlights and appear to extend into a separate, lower grille section.

The photo showing off the vehicle’s side profile reveals an abundance of chrome, including chrome window trim, a chrome c-pillar and a chrome trim piece that runs along the bottom of the front and rear doors. We also see large chrome wheels, which appear to be about 22-inches in dimeter, chrome mirror caps and chrome roof rails.

These photos appear to have been taken at the Arlington Assembly plant in Texas, where the new 2021 Cadillac Escalade is set to go into production in 2020. The leaker didn’t snap any photos of the SUV’s interior, but Cadillac Society photographers previously snuck their cameras into the cabin of an Escalade test vehicle, revealing a wide, dual-screen gauge cluster/infotainment display, steering wheel mounted paddle shifters, an Electronic Precision Shift gear selector and wood grain center console trim.

The next-generation Cadillac Escalade is expected to spawn a high-performance variant, which may feature a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine, along with a battery electric variant that will have up to 400 miles of driving range. The vehicle pictured in these leaked photos appears to be a standard 2021 Cadillac Escalade, though its large chrome wheels and abundance of chrome trim suggests it could be a well-equipped Platinum model.

Stay tuned for more information on the next-generation Cadillac Escalade between now and its expected debut in Q1 2020.

  1. Actually, there are some new interior photos that were also leaked that are floating around on other websites. The interior looks fantastic. A lot of thought went into it’s design and I’m glad to see GM isn’t cheaping out on the higher end materials as they’ve done in the last.
The exterior definitely requires some getting used to. Not that it’s bad, it’s just a different and more subdued. It’s obvious that Cadillac wants to make this a bigger hit outside of North America.
I’m getting strong Land Rover vibes from it, especially in the headlight assembly area.

  2. Looks very good. I am disappointed though in that it appears most all side sheetmetal panels are shared with the Suburban/Yukon just revealed. I was hoping for more differentiation in that area.

    • Totally agree…this is “cost cutting” “just good enough” General Motors! Yet another disappointment..,,

      • Still, this has been the case with every Escalade going back to 1999 and it has been near or at the top of it’s Market segment in sales ever since. While the Escalade looks like a large, luxury SUV; it is in reality a printing press for cash-money on one-way trip to GM’s bottom line!

It should also be noted that the Navigator shares most of its sheetmetal with the Expedition.

All that being said, I was hoping the Escalade might get more to “call its own”.
