Yes, Cadillac Will Build More Than 275 Units Of The CT6-V

Cadillac initially announced that it will offer 275 units of the new CT6-V for pre-order in the United States. Those units sold out within a few minutes of going live, and the circumstance caused some to think that the CT6-V will be limited to 275 units. That’s not the case.

We reached out to Cadillac, and were told by JL Lavina that the 275 figure is the amount of CT6-V units made available for pre-order, and that more units of the high-performance sedan will be available thereafter.

How many units of the CT6-V Cadillac will end up building is currently unknown, but it will definitely be more than 275.

To note, those 275 pre-order units include tuition and luxury accommodation at the 2-day Cadillac V-Performance Academy at Spring Mountain. The offer is valid for 1 year and is reserved for the original owner of each new, unused model.

The CT6-V is the most powerful model of the CT6 sedan. It features Cadillac’s all-new, hand-built 4.2-liter twin-turbo V8 LTA engine called Blackwing rated at 550 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque, paired to a new 10-speed automatic transmission driving all four wheels. Other notable features include a special tune to the Magnetic Ride Control suspension system.

The 2019 Cadillac CT6-V starts at $88,790 without any optional packages, or fees such as tax, title, license, delivery, or dealer fees.

  1. This is very good news. This vehicle should have had a V8 on launch even if the BW was not ready, they should have offered a V8 from the Corvette lineup. This excellent car deserves to have the prestige this mill will provide. I hear the CT6 Platinum will offer a detuned 500bhp version as well… BRAVO! Finally some good news from GM… Please keep making this here in the USA as well.
